Red Letter Day For Hanseatic
18/4/2026
Rohesia stamped her class for Lindsay Park in a dominant display in the Listed SAJC H C Nitschke Stakes to give her sire Hanseatic a much-deserved stakes winner.
The winners have been coming thick and fast for the son of Street Boss but three winners in a matter of hours on Saturday afternoon took Hanseatic past his own father’s record at the same stage of their stallion careers.
Already stakes-placed in the Crockett Stakes, Rohesia has showed class and speed since her debut stakes placing in the Inglis Banner last season as a two-year-old.
She now looks well-placed to take advantage of some nice 3yo stakes racing in Adelaide over the next month.
Earlier in the day, Hanseatic two-year-old The Speed Machine went two-from-two when dominating the $150k Mornington Sires on Mornington Cup day. The exciting unbeaten gelding looks well named and could now head to Brisbane for black type success.
And classy 3yo filly Paris Collection made easy work of her maiden victory at Kilmore at her 3rd time of asking. A very well-bred daughter of Hanseatic, Paris Collection is a half-sister to Hong Kong champion Beauty Generation being out of NZ champion broodmare Stylish Bel.
With his oldest just three-year-olds, Hanseatic has had a brilliant couple of months and now has 27 individual winners and 4 stakes horses.

His 2026 stallion fee will be announced by Rosemont Stud where he has stood since his racetrack retirement in the coming weeks.
