It didn’t take long for Team Vic to assert their presence at the 2021 Magic Millions Yearling sale.

The second lot for day two was presented by Rosemont. The filly bred by Rosemont and sired by Redoute’s Choice out of Condesaar, who is the dam of five foals to race, all being winners with one of her progeny being the Champion 2YO filly Yankee Rose.

Within minutes, the bids had quickly climbed to $500,000 with Matt Laurie Racing and Bahen Bloodstock landing the knockout blow to secure the filly. The filly is also the full sister to Miravelle.

“She has been a gorgeous filly from the outset and delighted to see her go into the yard of Matt Laurie who is a brilliant young trainer and one of the rising stars in the Australian training ranks”, said Rosemont Principal Anthony Mithen.

Rosemont graduates were again in hot demand throughout the rest of the sale with the Ciaron Maher / David Eustace stable securing the stunning I Am Invincible colt from Group performing Sebring mare Tahni Dancer for $800,000..

Gai Waterhouse-Adrian Bott, the reigning Golden Slipper winning stable shopped particularly well from the Rosemont draft securing the Zoustar – Sheila’s Star filly ($260,000) and the Spirit Of Boom – Sugar Babe filly ($360,000)

Other great results for the ‘Red Team’ were;

Pierro filly from Street Cry mare Tears Of Joy being secured by Jason Warren/Dean Krongold for $300,000

Deep Field colt from Exceed And Excel mare Sarong purchased by Bon Ho for $260,00

Invader colt from well related mare Newstar Lass sold to Golden River Investments for $220,000.

Mithen was full of praise for the hard work put in by all the Rosemont team in trying circumstances.
