A huge day at Caulfield with four big chances at Caulfield on the Melbourne Racing Club’s biggest day. And no less than two runners in the 1000 Guineas Classic at G1 level. Thrillster, bred at the farm will represent the Rosemont colours while Rosemont breeze-up graduate Krone will wear good client’s Roll The Dice racing’s colours with Rosemont retaining part ownership. Good luck punters. Here’s our thoughts:

The big boy is back baby!! And might be better than ever. Big thanks to Dr Ben Mason for keeping his prep on track and Weiry reports that he feels “great” having popped on him himself this week!!! Is there anything the great man can’t do??!! Will be up on the speed and strong to the line, only query is fitness after a break between runs but has been expertly managed by Weiry’s team and our own Mark Young between runs. Can win. Go Benson!! #BreedingBrilliance

Iconoclasm is back after 5 weeks between runs

Race 4 – SPLIT LIP
While back in the field first up a couple of weeks ago at Caulfield, a few very good judges spotted her and blackbooked her. Why? Well it was Underwood Stakes day and our Lippy ran the fastest sectionals OF THE DAY! Still think she might need another run to be peaking but can run a big one if she takes a more forward position than first up. Work has been sound this week and we are confident of a strong performance. #BreedingBrilliance

Split Lip ran the fastest last 200m of the whole day on Underwood Stakes day

What a filly!! Arguably could make a case for the daughter of Starspangledbanner being undefeated, but as they say, if your auntie had hairy armpits …!
She has been magnificent on the track this week, has drawn almost perfectly to assess the race early and park where she wants, if the favourite doesn’t get a strong 1600m, we will be the one challenging. Her dad won this course and distance in the Guineas 9 year’s ago, it would be quite fitting if she could follow in his footsteps. Noel Callow is in the zone on this filly and is set to add to his G1 tally. Get home Thrillster!!! #BreedingBrilliance

Farm favourite Thrillster

Race 6 – KRONE
Big danger to Thrillster and Smart Melody. Huge in the Edward Manifold last week showing she will eat up the mile. Weiry loves horses on the back-up and uses it as a real weapon and has chosen this program for Krone. Sticky barrier sees her probably go back and be steaming home late. If one of the 50/1 pops takes on likely leader and fave Smart Melody early on and softens her up, watch out for Krone charging at the line! Can win! #BreedingBrilliance

Krone is part-owned by Rosemont after being bought by Roll The Dice Racing at the Magic Millions Breeze Up sale last year
