Trainer Peter Moody will make a return to the racing industry as racing manager for Rosemont Stud.
Rosemont Stud made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday evening and this was followed by a tweet from Moody confirming the partnership.
“We could not be more excited to announce that Peter Moody will join our team as racing manager in Sept! #BreedingBrilliance @moodyracingpgm,” said Rosemont Stud.
Moody’s six-month suspension for unintentionally administering cobalt to Lidari expires on September 24.
“Very much looking forward to working with the team at Rosemont Stud and helping out with their racing stock,” Moody said.
Moody elected to close down his Caulfield stable in March when he was found guilty of charges relating to cobalt.
Rosemont Stud is a boutique breeding and racing operation based in the Geelong region, boasting several stallions including Toorak Toff, Starcraft and Nostradamus.
While breeding is a large part of the operation, Rosemont also race several horses with a variety of trainers.
Victoria Derby winner Tarzino is their headline act with the Mick Price-trained rising four-year-old set to resume in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m).
Rosemont also have a controlling share in Volkstok’n’barrell and have nominated the Mark Young-trained Futura, who finished second to Trenchant at Flemington, as a possible Victoria Derby hopeful.
