With the 2014 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale done and dusted for the year, Rosemont Stud were ecstatic with the results achieved for our clients and the farm itself with 23 of the 24 yearlings we took to the sales going home with new owners.

The headline act from our draft was not surprisingly Lot 248, the Savabeel colt out of Senorita Lucy. Constantly out of his box being inspected, he was knocked down for $260,000 to William Inglis As agent, while the next highest seller from our draft went the way of Lot 507, the final colt through the ring from our draft.

By Testa Rossa, the colt was out of the Irish River mare Riverina, herself a half-sister to dual Group Three winner Far Lane as well as to the dams of Group Two winner Dark Islander and Listed winner Mutate. Knocked down for $180,000, the colt was purchased by William Inglis as agent for Macau clients.

Exceed And Excel, the reigning Champion Sire was the sire of our next best seller, a filly out of the Singspiel mare Ennerdale, herself a half-sister to the dual Listed winner Copeland, both out of the Group Two winner Whitehaven.

Already the dam of the Group Three Caulfield Guineas Prelude winner Éclair Big Bang, the filly was secured by William Inglis as agent for $150,000.

Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock Pty Ltd and McKeever Bloodstock secured Lot 603 from our draft, a filly by Lonhro out of the Royal Academy mare Tennessee Royal, herself a half-sister to Group Three winner Nina Haraka (dam of Listed-winning, Group One placed Extension Of Time) as well as being a half-sister to the dam of Snitzerland.

Rosemont Stud would like to congratulate all of our clients and wish all the buyers of our yearlings the best of luck and we look forward to watching them succeed on the racetracks in the coming years.
