Having won on her career debut back in mid-December, the plan was to then head north for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic with the talented filly Eloping – but alas, the saying “this is racing” came into play.

The Choisir filly had a slight setback and was forced to spend some time on the sideline.

Resuming in the Listed Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies) on Saturday, the Peter Morgan and Craig Widdison trained filly produced another exciting effort to take the race by a length from Lumosty. With the setback may proving to be a gift, the filly looked strong to the line, suggesting that stepping up in trip would not pose any issues down the track.

A three-quarter-sister to our Starspangledbanner filly (Lot 39)- pictured right – that we sold at the recent Magic Millions Yearling Sale for $170,000 to Mark Riley, the now unbeaten filly will progress through the rest of the Blue Diamond series and looks a serious contender.

Raced by a group of lovely ladies, “Racing Women” headed by Sirecam’s Siobhan Miller, the group were actually on the Gold Coast, securing the Rosemont Stud offered Lot 222: Starcraft x Aussie Crawl colt to be trained by Mick Price.

We wish everyone involved with not only Eloping, but the Starcraft colt the best of luck in the future.
