Foaled and raised at Rosemont Stud, 2yo Purrealist gelding Purrcolate produced an encouraging performance at only his second start, winning the Parker Bros Earthmoving Maiden over 1412m at Seymour on June 15.

Trained by John Sadler for P B Board, Mrs M Board, M J Tyrell, A J Tootell, Ms D Myers, Ms K Tabone, K Magro, D Page & T M Board, Purrcolate defeated the Peter Snowden–trained Address by a length with a head back to the third placed Real Yummy.

Like Last week’s G1 Stradbroke Handicap winner Linton, Purrcolate has spelled at Rosemont Stud, benefiting from the Ceres property which is now used specifically for spelling racehorses and sprawls over 650 acres with two and a half kilometres of Barwon River frontage.

The undulating ground up the Barrabool Hills and the magnificent river flats offer the perfect combination for the successful rearing of any stock, but in particular thoroughbred horses, allowing them to continue to develop condition while still enjoying their break from the track.
