Sokurri is an unraced daughter of Vitesse Dane, the Group One Queensland Oaks-winning daughter of Danewin, by the Group One Newmarket Handicap winner General Nediym. In foal to Rosemont Stud’s own Danzero at her first year at stud, the resultant foal will have a double duplication of the champion sire Danehill.

This winning Zabeel mare is a must see in the Rosemont Stud draft. Out of the Listed-winning Danehill mare Chickens, a three-quarter sister to the dual Group One winner Danendri (dam of Group Three winner Zingam and Listed winner Banc De Fortune), Group One winner Danestorm, the family contains Group One winner Faint Perfume, who like this mare is out of a Zabeel mare. In fact Zabeel broodmares have produced 22 individual Group One winners including Ocean Park, Dear Demi, Commanding Jewel, Atlantic Jewel, Samantha Miss and It’s A Dundeel to name a few.

From the family of Danewin’s Group One Queensland Derby winner Toulouse Lautrec, this mare is already the dam of three to the race, for two winners, with Scarborough, the current three-year-old out of the mare winning again recently for trainer Gai Waterhouse.
