Due to quick growth and a willingness to meet market demand, Rosemont Stud has recently opened a brand new spelling facility, second-to-none.

With plenty of interest in the farm since a very successful sale launch at Melbourne Premier sale 2007, Rosemont has just opened new colt spelling yards. Twenty new yards at a size of 20m x 40m gives Rosemont the opportunity to service every client to their specific needs.

Built with five foot treated posts and state-of-the-art borderline plastic strands, the emphasis is definitely on safety.

“It looks a bit like Fort Knox, but that’s great. The safer the yards, the better the spell for the horse and those of us pandering to every spellers’ need!” said Suzanne Mowat, stable manager at Rosemont. The yards will be irrigated for future summers.

It is planned that a new stable block will be built alongside the yards to compliment the existing feature block of 10 stables and a horse walked also installed to ensure that whether they be spellers or yearlings, every horse is catered for specifically.
