Out of the winning Rubiton mare Miley, herself a full-sister to the Group Two-winning, Group One placed Truly Wicked (the dam of Champion Hong Kong Griffin galloper Amber Sky), as well as a three-quarter-sister to the dam of Group Two winner Great Glen, Rosemont Stud proprietor Anthony Mithen was clearly excited by the arrival, "After much anticipation, we are delighted with the arrival of our first Toorak Toff foal...a filly out of the winning Rubiton mare Miley who is closely related to last year's Hong Kong Champion 2YO Amber Sky.

"One swallow doesn't make a spring, but its a great start for the Toff as she is a lovely filly with great bone and shape. I can't wait to see her in a couple of weeks once she has found her feet."

A winner of six races including the Group One Golden Rose and the Group One Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, Toorak Toff is an impressive looking son of Queensland’s favourite stallion Show A Heart, one of the last Group One-winning representatives of the Star Kingdom sire-line at stud.

Successful in three of his first four starts during his juvenile season, the Rick Hore-Lacy-trained Toorak Toff resumed as a three-year-old to defeat Soul and the Group One Blue Diamond winner Star Witness in the Listed Vain Stakes, a race won the year prior by fellow Rosemont Stud stallion Starspangledbanner.

Taking out the Group One Golden Rose at his next start in the quickest time recorded to date, the classy colt defeated a quality line up that included Squamosa, Ilovethiscity, Decision Time, Chance Bye, Crystal Lily, Hinchinbrook and Panipique. Toorak Toff went on to finish second to Anacheeva in the Group Three Caulfield Guineas Prelude at his next start before finishing fourth to the same horse in the Group One Caulfield Guineas.

A winner of the Group One Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes during his four-year-old season where he defeated Master Of Design, Luen Yat Forever, Dao Dao, Smart Misslie, Dreamaway, Pinwheel, Woorim and Yosei, this very race has been won in the past by some outstanding colts who have gone on to become Group One-producing stallions including Barely A Moment, Testa Rossa, Encosta de Lago and the recently announced Champion Sire of Australia in Exceed And Excel. In fact since Encosta de Lago took victory in the race over 15 years ago, the only colt to achieve a faster time in the race than Toorak Toff is the current track record holder Exceed And Excel.

Covering a quality book of just under 100 mares at his first season at stud, some noteworthy mares set to foal in the current season to him include;
