Having already recorded stakes success last season, three-year-old Stratum filly Enquare has really taken her career to another level this time in, winning her last two starts, both at stakes level, highlighted by a cracking victory in the Group Three Vo Rogue Plate over 1350m at Doomben.

Having now won her last four starts (five in total), the Stratum filly (pictured left) heads to the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas as a leading chance and any further enhancement to the race record of the Jason McLachlan-trained filly will only add further weight to the pedigree of her half-brother, a colt by Rosemont Stud’s Toorak Toff (pictured below right), foaled in the Spring.

Both Enquare and the Toorak Toff colt are out of the G3 Rose Of Kingston Stakes and the G3 Frances Tressaday Stakes winner Skewiff, the winner of 12 races and over $500,000 in earnings for her connections.

Beaten a head by half a head in the G1 Emirates Stakes behind Sky Cuddle and Lad Of The Manor, Skewiff then finished fourth at her next start in the Group One Peters Classic (Myer Classic), beaten one-and-a-quarter lengths by Miss Potential, Alinghi and Infinite Grace.

Secured by Rosemont Stud at the 2012 Inglis Broodmare Sale for $30,000, Skewiff was carrying a positive test to Flying Spur’s Group Two winner Shaft. Foaling a filly some months later, that Shaft weanling went through the Inglis Great Southern Sale, selling Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock for $15,000, the very same connections who raced Skewiff throughout her career.

Having covered some classy mares like Skewiff in his two seasons at stud to date, Toorak Toff is the quickest winner of the G1 Golden Rose, and was also an impressive one-and-a-half length winner of the G1 Rupert Clarke Stakes.

Defeating a quality group of gallopers throughout his career that included G1 winners Lone Rock, Shadows In The Sun, Star Witness, Ilovethiscity, Crystal Lily, Skilled, Undue, Temple Of Boom, Happy Trails, Yosei, Aloha, Eagle Falls, Master Of Design, Woorim, Dreamaway, Happy Zero, Rock Classic and Albert The Fat, Toorak Toff will have his first crop of weanlings sell in 2014.
